Fish Fling at the Skokomish River (riparian zone):
absent, a riparian zone is an area by a water shed or banks of a river.
Potting Cuttings (cutting plant):
We cut branches in to small pieces and planted them in pots so they can grow inn to more trees
Watershed Cleanup Day (watershed management):
We picked up trash from the ground and old diapers from places in the forest
Trail Maintenance (trails):
We did some maintenance on trails and cleared of leaves and lots of other stuff. this was our last day of work and by the ends of the day our group exhibited excellent values of teamwork and understanding the specific uses for the tools. I think this was an excellent day in the 4H steward ship program.
Forest Service Station Maintenance (U.S. Forest Service):
We did maintenance in the parking lot of the forest service station
Replanting Decommissioned Road (restoration ecology):
We replanted trees and shrubs in an old road. the dirt was very hard to dig and it took a while
Campground Maintenance (campsite):
We cleared leaves off picnic tables and picked up trash in the campsites
Picnic Table Restoration (picnic table):
We replaced the rotten boards on the picnic tables with new boards that we oiled and finished
Planted Cuttings for Elk Forage (elk):
We planted cuttings to help restore the elks habitat and make their environment more livable
